Coordinate the preparation of the F&BC papers in relation to transactions, ensuring input from the BD team, treasury, tax, accounting and legal
- Coordinate all acquisition and divestment related payments and receipts with the business and BD team to ensure the calculations are appropriately challenged, the legal team has reviewed compliance with the sale and purchase agreements and treasury make the payments in accordance with the time frame set out in the agreements
- Scope DD, select advisors, manage the external and internal finance DD teams through diligence to ensure that the work is completed in a timely manner to a high standard
- Lead the development of the Group’s standard financial appraisal template for acquisitions, and drive continuous improvement
- Support Group Finance in the development and maintenance of the Group’s Strategic Plan, to ensure that the Group is prepared to defend itself at any time in the event of a hostile takeover. If such an event occurred, work with external advisors and the Group Finance team to ensure that all information necessary is made available to mount a successful defense
