- Responsible for developing, organizing, administering, assessing, and documenting therapeutic treatment interventions and responses to the Recreational Therapy Program
- Maintains involvement in the Inpatient Mental Health program, Acute Inpatient Medicine Units and CLC
- Works with patient populations that include those with psychiatric, substance abuse, neurological, orthopedic, cognitive, and medical/surgical conditions
- Plans and conducts a well-rounded therapy program equipped to handle a wide variety of disabilities whose treatment goals and objectives are both complex and progressive in nature
- Adapts treatment plans to the physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs of the individual patient
- Participates as an active member of treatment team and consult/co-treat with other medical staff to coordinate the patient's treatment program
- Procures consultations from physicians, developing assessments, determining treatment goals, and creating treatment plans individualized to each patient's needs and abilities
