- Preparation of ASC 740 tax provision including: current and deferred tax calculations by legal entity for both domestic and foreign subsidiaries; preparation of quarterly account reconciliations for income statement and balance sheet tax accounts; preparation of disclosures and footnotes in quarterly and annual audited financial statements
- Reconciliation of foreign and domestic provision to return adjustments and timely recording
- Assist with detailed tax basis step-up calculations under IRC 754
- Assist with calculations for payables due per tax receivable agreement
- Develop and maintain detailed tax attribute calculations and carryforwards by legal entity including NOLs, FTCs, tax basis, etc
- Assist in the effort to develop efficient tax processes and documentation procedures
- Ensure that existing internal controls over tax processes are strictly followed and consistently executed
- Four to six years of progressive tax experience with a focus on reporting under ASC 740 and handling corporate/partnership tax issues in a Big 4 firm, national public accounting firm, or large multinational corporate tax department
- Review simple or complex US and Canadian personal income tax returns
- Conduct TAX briefings and advise clients on the tax implications of working in another tax jurisdiction
- Assist in managing the financials of client accounts by developing budgets, determining resource requirements, timely invoicing and appropriate revenue recognition
