Responsibilities For Vascular Ultrasound Tech Resume
- Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty (ies) as appropriate
- Works harmoniously with other healthcare personnel
- Uses Personal Protective Equipment and utilizes standard precautions (former Universal Precautions) when performing tasks presenting the possibility of exposure to blood or body fluids
- Identifies each patient and reviews each physician order for consistency of exam ordered with clinical diagnosis and all demographic information. Records pertinent data at all times. (Patient history, explanation of limited examination, etc.)
- Accurately performs general abdomen, small parts, gynecological, and obstetrical ultrasound examinations. Recognizes sonographic characteristics of normal and abnormal tissue, structures, and blood flow; adapts protocol when needed to further assess findings; adjusts scanning technique to optimize image quality and diagnostic information
- Schedules house patient appointments and dispenses appropriate preparations to patients as indicated by departmental protocol and/or physician order
- Assists radiologist or physician's assistant with interventional procedures
- Analyzes procedures, correlates acquired studies and medical history, and communicates findings to the appropriate physician
