- Ensure the oversight of budget management for NGOs with PCA with the section in line with UNICEF’s governing rules and regulations
- Monitor compliance of expenditure of donor projects to ensure that objectives and targets are achieved
- Plan and organize training programmes (for federal and regional staff) in the areas of budgeting and financial management/reporting in order to build capacity for staff for effective and efficient management of programme resources
- Enable an institutional memory within the office through development and maintenance of record keeping of OR/ORE allocations forms and emails; ensure the filing of and access to all the financial and budget related files on proposals, donor reports and all other financial documents in-line with EU verification recommendations

- Coordinates and implement the Section financial component of the Risk Assurance Activities e.g. spot checks, programme visits and audits
- Field visit to the EU project sites to ensure compliance with EU verification recommendations
- Timely monthly reports on programme budget allocations, commitments, expenditures, and projections to ensure that funds are used as per approved proposal, identify allocation errors and discrepancies and suggest corrective measures
- Establishment of system for the maintenance of record keeping of OR/ORE allocations and supporting documents
- Timely financial analysis for donor reports highlighting compliance and fund utilization
- Timely financial analysis and follow-up report of NGO budget with PCAs with UNICEF
