- Knowledge of applying inverse modeling techniques to the groundwater flow model development process; interpret statistical results to both technical and non-technical audience
- Independently execute complex projects from start to finish, but also able to function effectively in a team environment

- Develop conceptual groundwater models
- Using advanced analysis tools such as geographic information systems, statistical software, computer models, or precision laser measuring devices to analyze how land use change, climate change, or invasive species impact stream flow and climate data sets
- Presents or helps present research findings at conferences or scientific meetings and and helps write manuscripts published results in peer-reviewed journals
- Working closely with the existing flood risk team which includes hydraulic modellers, hydrologists, civil engineers and flood risk specialists working at different levels
