- Research customer enquiries and provide accurate and timely information, advice and guidance to internal and external customers. This includes providing responses to enquiries in writing, via the telephone and in person as appropriate. Contribute to the resolution of complaints in a timely manner in accordance with East Sussex Highways policies and procedures
- Assist with the monitoring of designated income and accurately report at month end total fees collected and licenses issued
- Prepare management information if required, including the analysis, manipulation and presentation of data as appropriate
- Personally liaise with customers, stakeholders and colleagues as appropriate and recommend courses of action arising within the scope and bounds of the role and review the effectiveness of services to improve performance

- Originate reports and prepare and evaluate statistical and other information
- Undertake investigations of service requests, contraventions of legislation, appeals, licensing requirements, infection, accidents, risk or other circumstances within the general purview of the Section. Inspect or visit vehicles, stalls, plant or equipment
- Undertake the enforcement of legislation and exercise powers as required
- Prepare and deliver publicity campaigns and educational and preventative work, as required
